I just visited Nashville again and instead of just saying what I did, I wanted to make a list of my favorite things I’ve done over the years. The best part is they’re all inexpensive and free. Although some of these aren’t exclusive Nashville activities, but I love them so I’m listing them. So enjoy or don’t but I definitely will!
Nashville’s classic Hot Chicken! I’ve gotten both the tenders and sandwich and love them both. I’m really sensitive to spicy things so I get the mild heat and it’s just right. Then with a side of mac and cheese. You can never go wrong with Hattie B’s!
I don’t think you can find anything else like Honky Tonking on Broadway and 2nd Avenue. My favorite place I’ve been to is Crazy Town. There are three floors and it gets crazier with each one (we stayed on the third floor the entire night cause dancing is always a good time).
If I find a place like this at home I would be so happy. It has so much. Amazing food, drinks, classic coffee (I hate coffee but apparently it’s really good), areas to just sit and work, and areas to have fun (bowling and an outside area with a pool). If all of those things weren’t enough, it’s just so pretty and relaxing.
Hatch Show Print was founded in the 1800s and now located in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. It produces all kinds of prints all with a recognizable look. There are tour options or you can just walk in and watch the printers while sorting through all kinds of posters to purchase. The first time I visited, I was in a printing class at the time that made it really interesting for me.
There are plenty of vineyards to choose from around Nashville. We went to Arrington Vineyards which is about 30 minutes outside the heart of Nashville. The drive to get there was beautiful too. We decided on the picnic tasting option which includes any 4 wines for $14. Then we sat outside and enjoy the amazing view!
It’s cliche but sometimes you need that in your life. The mural is at 2702 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37204.
The best burger I’ve ever had is at The Pharmacy. It’s called the Farm Burger and I HIGHLY recommend it. I can never say no to a meal with a fried egg on top!
Yes, I know Jeni’s isn’t a Nashville staple but it’s amazing so I’m including it! There are so many unique flavors that no one would think of normally and it’s just great. My favorite is Brown Butter Almond Brittle! YES PLEASE!!
