To Do In: Vienna, Austria

May 26, 2017

Activities

Stephansplatz

Opera House

Vienna is known for it’s opera. The trick to not pay a ton of money? Go to the side door and pay next to nothing for a seat that isn’t bad, but isn’t the best either. It’s worth it though.

Schönbrunn Palace

It’s almost magical listening to the history of this palace, viewing the amazing architecture, and exploring the gardens. The oldest zoo in the world, founded in 1752 as an imperial menagerie, is on the grounds as well.

Food

Naschmarkt

The oldest market in Vienna. You are encouraged to sample every food and could easily be full by the time you’re finished walking through it all. There are also restaurants set up within the market, which is a different twist to normal markets.

Wienerschnitzel

Chocolate Cake

You can find it at different restaurants, but only Café Sacher has the original
