Vienna is known for it’s opera. The trick to not pay a ton of money? Go to the side door and pay next to nothing for a seat that isn’t bad, but isn’t the best either. It’s worth it though.
It’s almost magical listening to the history of this palace, viewing the amazing architecture, and exploring the gardens. The oldest zoo in the world, founded in 1752 as an imperial menagerie, is on the grounds as well.
