Room Tour

September 24, 2015

IMG_3678Now that I live in an apartment instead of a dorm, I finally have the freedom to actually decorate my room. I wanted a room I felt at home in and where I could be completely relaxed. That’s exactly what this space is.

I’ve had the same lights for three years now and they’ve become one of my favorite things. I pieced together my bedding from Home Goods, Target, Brookstone, and Anthropology. I got the throw at the end of my bed on sale at Anthropology and after I bought it I realized it’s actually a shower curtain…The “logging off” pillow is from ModCloth. I find the natural colors of my bedding to be very comforting.

I made the “don’t wake me up” picture above my bed thinking more people would understand it, but that turned out to not be the case. “I woke up like this” mug from Urban Outfitters, frame from Anthropologie, Ben Rector‘s new album, One Line a Day journal I started in college after I stopped writing down every detail throughout high school, Wreck This Journal, wood grain rug from H&M.
IMG_3681This is my favorite wall. It’s a collection of graphics I’ve made, pictures I’ve taken, paintings by friend China, random pictures I’m drawn to, a Jimmy John’s menu because who doesn’t love Jimmy John’s, a note from my mom, a Ben Rector setlist that I got signed, and other random items.

“a” mug from Anthropologie, “Think Happy Be Happy” Graphic Design book is one of my favorites, fake succulent from Target, the wooden A was randomly bought by my mom, “shut up & fish” hat is my friend’s childhood hat I needed to have, and of course another Ben Rector item.

This wall will definitely be more filled with pictures in the future. I found this dresser in the dumpster the day we moved in, the jewelry tray was a bridesmaids gift from my sister, my handy dad made the jewelry stand (the base is Aspen from my Colorado home, the branches are from my Texas home), he also made the coasters from colorado trees, “hold your head high” giraffe mug is from World Market as well as the patterned runner.
